Lyphatic Support Basic MedPax contains:
OMEGA 3 (fish oil) with acid docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) help decreasing basal lipolytic activity and secretion of inflammatory markers.
BIOFLAVONOIDS, DIOSMIN – Approximately 90% of the patients with lipo-lymphedema have venous insufficiency increasing lymphedema and inflammation. By inhibiting endothelial activation, micronized purified flavonoid fraction (MPFF), an edema-protective agent, can prevent the inflammatory cascade resulting from the leukocyte-endothelium interaction. Added benefits: reduce leg pain/heaviness and improved QOL (quality of life).
VITAMIN C is essential for the efficient functioning of the immune system.
SELENIUM (Se) has antioxidant effects in the cellular defense system. Inflammation is present in lymphedema and lipedema. Inflammation results in exaggerated oxidative stress. Selenium plays an important role in the protection of immune organs.
N ACETYL CYSTEINE – NAC – has broad benefits to health. NAC serves as a precursor to glutathione—a key antioxidant that provides protection against free radicals and toxins in the body.
ALPHA LIPOIC ACID (ALA) is a free radical scavenger and a potent antioxidant.
These supplements were compiled aiming to reduce chronic inflammation, leaky vessels (veins & lymphatics) and boot immune system, conditions present both in lymphedema and lipedema.
Supplements are an additional tool and should be used in combination with diet (Paleo, RAD, anti-inflammation), exercise, manual lymphatic drainage, skin care and well fitted compression garments; and surgery if indicated.
MedPax is a personalized supplement option regimen dispensed in strip packets comprising AM and PM formulas.
Consult with your doctor before you start supplements and/or vitamins.
